Funeral Policy

 Guidelines for Funerals held at Nashwaaksis United Church

• It is a preference that funeral services not be scheduled on Sunday, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
• The church will be informed if flower arrangements, which are left behind following the service, are to be picked up by the family or left for the church.
• Should the sanctuary be decorated for a special season of the church year i.e. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving……these decorations will not be removed for the funeral.

Following are the fees for services:
• Minister $150.00
• Organist $125.00 (if required)
• Sound* $50.00 ( can include a power point presentation of phots running before the service)
• Video* $50.00 (if the person who does sound can provide that service)
• Bulletin $50.00 (upon request)
• Custodian $75.00

Note:
The United Church Women (UCW) will provide refreshments following the service, by request. An honorarium would be appreciated.
Recording of Funeral: We do not provide this service, however most funeral homes will do a recording upon request.
Graveside Service: If the funeral was held in the church and this is a delayed internment (i.e. winter months) there is no charge. If this is the only service, the fee is $150.00 as noted above.
